We ran, swam, canoed, mountain biked and completed several challenges along the way. In this particular picture we had just finished sawing three stumps off a log with hand saws. We then had to cross a grass field by stepping on the stumps...we could not let our feet touch the ground. We balanced on two as we passed the third stump forward. Adventure racing is similar to a triathlon, in that there are usually three main legs of the race. The things that set it apart are the physical and mental challenges along the way and the racers do not know the course beforehand..you have no idea what is ahead. What a thrill!!
