A Mormon (Feminist!) Image: Power
Becoming a mother has been the most empowering thing I’ve ever done. Seeing how much this little guy loves me and depends on me, being the only person in the world who can make things better, figuring out ways to help him that even the doctors and therapists didn’t think of. All those cliches about a mama bear or a lioness are totally true.
When I get it right I am the most powerful person in the world.

It’s a lucky self portrait, actually. I had my arm held out and just kept the button pressed. It took about 40 tries, but I ended up with something I loved. Thank heavens for digital cameras.

oh my gosh sw, that is spooky! I have one of those faces where people always think I look like someone they know, but even I was taken aback at that one.
