Fun in the Texas Sun
I don’t want to distract from the two awesome FMH snackers scheduled for this weekend - one in San Francisco and one in Idaho - but I wanted to get this put up so people can start marking their calendars.
We are having our third Texas FMH snacker in six months (come on other regions, try to beat that!) This one is going to be the most fun of all. Stephen M (Ethesis) and his wife Win are graciously opening up their home to FMHers and their families (kids, too!) for a swim party and barbecue.
It will be Saturday, July 17 at 6:30 p.m. in Plano, Texas. Here is the invitation. Please RSVP there. Hope to see you then!

mfranti, one day I want to come to a snacker at spud’s house! With you and Lisa, and Spud, who I haven’t even met yet, I’m sorry to say.
But I’m also really looking forward to our Texas snacker. I’ve had a ton of fun at the last two!

mfranti, that’s a good point. In my defense, I didn’t mean that this will be the most fun snacker ever (although we won’t really know until after it happens), just that it will be the most fun of the three Texas snackers so far.

shucks… I will be in baytown tx until the 6th so I will just miss it (across the huge state). I will however be at spuds this weekend thereby tipping the scales and making the ID snakker superior.

I’m going to San Antonio Texas in September. do any of you guys live near there? We can get together. You guys have a really great blog. I know I’ve said that before, but still. You do.

annegb, if you drive through Dallas, let us know. San Antonio is a little farther than Oklahoma City, I think. I’ve had people come from Kansas, but few from San Antonio. Different Temple District.

I would be interested in finding out how many people would want to attend such an event - in Knoxville TN. It’s hard to know if I could do it at my house, or would need to find another venue, with out knowing how many people would be interested.

How about creating local FMH chapters and placing something on the sidebar to advertise/put people in contact with each other (links to google groups or something else that wouldn’t require upkeep). I would really love to meet some like minded mormons in my area.
