Stephanie
I joined FMH in February 2010. I love to learn and would have spent my entire life as a student if I could (or at least get a PhD and live in academia). Instead, I quit after my MBA to stay at home with my now five children (four sons and one daughter). I currently live in the great state of Texas.
I wish I had a bunch of cool links to sites I like to frequent, but sadly, I really only have time for my email and FMH right now (and an occasional peek at Fox News - yikes! Did I just admit that?!?!)
I also wish I had a cool Good Reads list, but I just have a huge, long list of books I WANT to read (and have promised people like Quimby I would. Everyone is going to think I am a liar here soon.)
My interests are politics, economics, finance, work/life balance, religion. I hope to get back to them soon. For now, if I’ve read my scriptures and exercised for 20 minutes, it’s a good day.

woo hoot! I like this steph. lemme tell you something about young children: they grow up.
and poof! they’re adults. it happens faster then you want it to.
but… I am a little dissapointed in you. fox news?
c’mon!!!!!

I always say I am nothing if not honest. I had to come clean.

ahhhhh the news issues… I watch get news from Fox… and CNN, and NBC too lol. But Fox is in there non the less. I totally know what you mean about a good day being exercise and scriptures… I’m so there.

Oh, good! I’m glad to see this page with my very own eyes. I’m late to say this, but Stephanie, I’m so happy you’ve officially joined fMh. I love your writing. Also your willingness to actually read stuff like FW and report back to us all on the looniest bits.

What I like about you Steph, is the honesty. And don’t worry, my reading list is pretty long, but it mostly got that way after my four boys and one girl were much older than yours. When they were younger, all I read was stuff about how to raise them. At least you find time for us–so no complaints from me.

At least Fox does give some news. I get mine from the BCC side bar
Okay, and NPR, but only if I’m awake enough to pay attention to Morning Edition…

enna, did you read all of perma pages? they’re fun. i know all these ladies and i had fun reading them.
Comment by mfranti — May 20, 2010 @ 4:21 pm
I haven’t read all of them yet… just the one’s that I recognized because they still post or comment a lot. But they are a lot of fun. I’m a little disturbed that Terry Gross got a shout out on Lisa’s page, but I was trying to refrain from commenting on it
Comment by Enna — May 20, 2010 @ 4:27 pm
why? you don’t like terry gross? she’s one of the best interviewers of all time.

That’s really weird, Stephanie. It seems like you’ve been here forever
in a good way…
Thanks for sharing about your dh’s stalker/bishopric joys/job loss/trying to sell house, etc. You’ve been generous with your stories.
I wish I could be there IRL just to applaud you sometimes. You’re amazing (even if you don’t drink Coke!)

Wow, thanks for all the nice comments, ya’ll!

I think you should have stayed in the Academy.

What? No picture?!
I always appreciate your perspective, Stephanie (and for making me feel welcome when I finally started commenting.) Thanks!

m, I really don’t. sometimes she just gets on my nerves, like she answers her own questions instead of letting people talk. I don’t know, I’m just more of a Diane Rehm sort of girl
Oh yeah, and I like the pictures where people have them, too!

Daniel 13, why’s that?
Corktree, I might put up a picture if I can figure out how. Each time I upload it, it comes out with a big “X”. Then again, I am not sure I really want anyone to see the “real” me. Just know I’m young, hot, super skinny - you know, all the important stuff.

enna, are you saying i should put a picture up?
Comment by mfranti — May 20, 2010 @ 10:08 pm
